Summer Solstice, 2009

I did a terrible job of photographing the solstice. I did it through the window of my hotel room and without a tripod. I set my alarm for 2 am. When it went off I took a picture, and pressed the snooze and went back to sleep. So, I got a picture every 8 minutes or so. But they are terrible. Further, I've tried to create a slideshow, but the software makes the images even worse. Anyway, here's the slide show, and below you can look at the original photos, which aren't much better...
The idea, of course, was to see the sun moving horizontally across the horizon.

It takes a while for the slideshow to load. Once it is loaded it will play again at a faster speed, so be patient.
