Iron Cap and Necklace Valley Cascade RangeJuly 2020

Kevin, Dan, Paul, and I hiked the Necklace Valley Loop, including a summit of Iron Cap.

We got a late start (believe it or not), and we underestimated the distance and difficulty of getting all the way to Chetwood Lake.
We made an 'emergency camp', on a little flat spot that we found while route-finding on a rugged high ridge between two lakes. We had no water and it was raining. Morale was low, but we made the right decision and made it through the night.

The sun came out the next day and everything started to go much more smoothly.
